Easy-to-Adjust and Position Grip Sleeve: The grip sleeve of the bit has texture to make it easy to adjust and position the depth stops, but still provide for smooth rotating during driving operations.

Drywall And Plasterboard Installation: The most important thing when installing drywall or plaster board is to the ensure that the screws are countersunk just below the paper surface of the board. If you do not take care to do this, when you finish taping and muddling you will see screw holes through the surface of the finished board.

Wood Working and Cabinet Making: Many soft woods (such as pine) and laminate products are very prone to cracking if the screws are torqued too tightly. Using a bit like this helps protect against this problem.

Decking and Sub-floor Installation: On deck building projects, and decking fasteners must be kept flush with the wood planks to the avoid creating potential tripping hazards. Similarly, and sub-floor fasteners should be kept flush with the timber planks to create an even finish.

General DIY and Building Projects: Bits like this reduce cam-out (when the screw slips out of the head of the screwdriver). By reducing cam-out, you can save money by not having to replace damaged fasteners.
